Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA)

We are looking for a Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA) to operate and evolve large-scale on-premise data platforms supporting hundreds of millions of users across mobile and web products.
You will work closely with backend and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, performance, and scalability across our database ecosystem while contributing to architectural decisions across the platform.
You will work on multi-terabyte database clusters running on bare-metal infrastructure with direct ownership of reliability and performance decisions.

What about your challenge?

• Operate and optimize large-scale MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across database, Linux, networking, and application layers
• Improve high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Collaborate with backend engineers on SQL performance, schema design, indexing, and scaling challenges
• Build automation and improve observability around database operations
• Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24/7 production systems

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years professional experience in Database Engineering, DBA, SRE, or similar roles
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Solid networking fundamentals
• Strong SQL fundamentals and data modeling understanding
• Hands-on experience operating production RDBMS or NoSQL systems at scale, including replication, high availability, or distributed setups
• Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills

Nice to Have;

• Automation or scripting experience (Bash or Python)
• Redis Sentinel or Redis Cluster experience
• Elasticsearch operations at scale
• MongoDB Atlas experience
